National Service Scheme (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Vaniniketan Group of Colleges provides students with opportunities to participate in community service and social development activities. It promotes the values of service, discipline, empathy and social responsibility.
NSS volunteers actively participate in tree plantation, cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, health awareness programmes, voter awareness campaigns, environmental initiatives and community outreach activities. Special camps are also organized to help students understand community needs and contribute meaningfully to society.
Since 2008, our NSS Unit has been conducting seven-day NSS Special Winter Camps every year in various villages with the active participation of 50+ NSS volunteers. These camps provide students with valuable opportunities to engage with rural communities and contribute to social welfare through activities related to health, hygiene, sanitation, environmental protection, education and community development.
Through NSS, students develop leadership, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills while contributing to the welfare of society. The programme inspires students to become responsible citizens committed to the NSS motto “Not Me But You.” The College has one NSS Unit with 100 registered volunteers, actively engaged in various social service and community development initiatives.
